Mo’ne Davis: The Athlete Who Pitched a Shut Out

March 30, 2016

Because she’s the first ever girl to win in the Little League world series and she PITCHED A SHUT OUT.

Mo’ne Ikea Davis “was the first girl to earn a win and to pitch a shutout in Little League World Series history. She was the 18th girl overall to play, the sixth to get a hit, and the first African-American girl to play in the Little League World Series. She was also the first Little League baseball player to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated as a Little League player.”

All that was from her Wiki page and she’s only 15 and basketball is her favorite sport.

I know, right?

So be prepared for her world domination to continue, especially since this dynamo signed with the Harlem Globetrotters last year, offered a spot if she wants it when she’s done with college. .

She is training away and dreams one day of being on UConn’s team. Which, we think has a good shot of happening.

I know, how cool!

This Philly girl has been going for it and we can’t wait to see how much more she accomplishes.
