We are looking for an energetic and self-motivated Marketing & Social Media Manager to join our team. If you’re an ambitious individual who wants to build a career in marketing, business, and entertainment, then we want to work with you.
The ideal candidate will have their fingers on the pulse of the African culture zeitgeist, a passion for creating engaging content, and experience in developing and executing social media marketing campaigns. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing social media content for our brand’s various platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X. You will work closely with our product management, marketing, and programming teams to ensure that the brand’s messaging is consistent and that our social media presence continues to grow and expand globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute social media marketing campaigns that align with the brand’s overall marketing strategy.
- Create and curate original and licensed content that is engaging and relevant to our target audience.
- Manage and grow all TAC social media accounts while developing the brand’s social media presence across multiple platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, and other platforms.
- Utilize data and analytics to monitor and evaluate the performance of social media campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Monitor social media channels and respond to followers in a timely and professional manner.
- Identify opportunities to engage in wider cultural conversations and engagement trends.
- Work with our programming department to identify opportunities to feature content on our social media platforms.
- Build relationships with our fans, gather feedback, and share these insights with our product management, marketing, and programming teams to continuously improve the brand’s offerings and overall customer experience.
- Stay up to date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices, and recommend new strategies and tactics.
- Assist with the management of influencer campaigns and partnerships, as needed.
- Coordinate marketing asset requests, ensuring timely delivery of materials to internal teams and external partners.
- Collaborate with graphic designers and outside agencies to create visually appealing and effective marketing materials.
- Manage communication and project timelines with external vendors and agencies, ensuring projects are completed on time and adhering to budget.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in social media marketing, with a proven track record of creating and executing successful social media campaigns.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong working knowledge of social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer), graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva), and video editing software.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and their algorithms.
- Ability to work independently in a constantly evolving environment.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for creativity and storytelling.
- Strong design skills and a keen eye for visual aesthetics.
- Experience in creating visually appealing graphics and content.
