Shontel Horne serves as Manager, Digital Marketing where she leads the social media and brand awareness strategy for The Africa Channel’s streaming platform, Demand Africa. In her role, she works with the digital team to establish community relationships and develop and execute effective social media, content and email strategies. She holds a B.A. from Georgia State University in Literature and Film Production. Shontel brings a decade of digital marketing and editorial experience to The Africa Channel. Previously she lead multi-platform initiatives for L’Oréal and FOX Broadcasting. Among other reputable names, Shontel has launched digital projects for OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network, she worked as the editor of Blavity’s Travel Noire. Shontel’s editorial work has been featured in HuffPost, POPSUGAR, DuJour, Forbes Travel Guide, The Zoe Report,along with recognized magazines from Modern Luxury Publications.
