Considering President Barack Obama’s visit to Kenya for the Global Entrepreneurship Summit, we created a list of three splendid eateries we hope the hopefully squeeze into his schedule. These hot restaurants in Nairobi and neighboring Ukunda that will leave every newcomer’s taste buds longing for more!
The Brew Bistro and Lounge, Nairobi
If you are searching for something reminiscent of the United States, The Brew Bistro and Lounge in Nairobi has top-notch burgers, steaks, cakes, wines, and authentically crafted beer. Tease your taste buds by starting with the Beer Cheese Fondue, a soup comprising flavorful melted cheeses with the restaurant’s original Simpils premium lager served in a bread bowl. The wide-ranging list of meats are brought from Kenya’s Morendat farm. Cuts include lamb chops, sirloin, chateaubriand, filet mignon, jumbo prawn skewers and much more. Seven Grill and Lounge is easy to overlook since it is slyly located in the Village Market above the food court. One of the city’s finest steakhouses, Seven Grill and Lounge offers clean-cut meat that will leave your umami senses beyond gratified. Try the marinated thick-cut lamb steak rubbed with rosemary and roasted garlic and grilled to flawlessness. We know these stop probably won’t make it on the official schedule, but it would be amazing if he stopped by. Either way, Kenya is filled with presidential pride.
