The super fight is expected to generate as much as $400 million from various revenue streams despite the fact that organizers have had a relatively short window to run marketing promotions. Regardless of time constraints, the fight will break many records. Revenue streams include Pay-Per-View (PPV) television sales, gate revenues and sponsorship.
The cheapest available tickets for the fight at MGM Grand Garden Arena are reportedly on sale for $1,500- if you can find them. According to various reports, the 500 tickets made available to the public were sold out in one minute. Other ticket prices range from $10,000 to as high as $100,000. The fight could generate as much as $74 million from live gates. This will trump the existing record of $20 million set during Mayweather’s fight against Saul Alvarez in 2013.
