- 1 onion
- 1 red pepper
- 1 habanero pepper
- 1 pack of Maggie Seasoning
- 2 cups of ewa (beans)
- 2 tbsp palm oil
- ½ lb shrimp
Roughly chop onion and peppers.
Add to blender with ¼ cup of water.
Blend for 30-40 seconds.
Wash and sort through the 2 cups of beans.
Remove any that maybe shriveled or missing shells.
In a large pot, add 6 cups of water and beans.
Cook on medium heat for about 1½ - 2 hours, until beans are tender.
Add the Maggie Seasoning and cook for another 8-10 minutes.
Add shrimp to the beans.
Wait 3 minutes, then add palm oil.
Cook for another 10-15 minutes and serve.
