There’s nothing better than watching something that gets you straight in your heart. Whether it’s a love story, a sports movie, a documentary, or something that relates to you directly, watching it is an incomparable experience. Caribbean Tales is sharing four short films with us in the #BlackLoveMatters Short Film Challenge to provide that experience. All four of these films are here to make you feel.
We see a young boy who adores his hard-working mother, a willing heart brave enough to stand out among the rest, a young man with a fervent and unconventional passion, and a couple’s concern for their baby on the way. Four short films with a message, a voice, and an unavoidable connection to the viewer. Although each film is less than five minutes, you’re quickly captivated by the story, and you carry it with you after the credits roll.
Watching Five Dollars, What Defines Me, Open Heart, and Reason Enough will provide you with four different and unique experiences, however, each experience draws a distinct emotion from you. In the #BlackLoveMatters challenge, each of these directors took an approach to showing love in an honest and original way.
All the films mentioned here are available to watch for free, don’t forget doc show your love by hitting the like button next to your favorite one!
The winners of the #BlackLoveMatters Short Film Challenge will be announced September 16 at the screening night at the Caribbean Tales Film Festival, find out more here
